A MEETING WITH COMMUNITY ADVOCATE CAROLYN RODRIGUEZ
This past Saturday Carolyn Rodriguez led a volunteer event benefitting WomenRising. Together with CleanGreenJersey volunteers beautified our space! Thanks to donations from HudsonFlorist the group was able to plant beautiful flowers which instantly brightened up our building. We had the pleasure of sitting down with Carolyn and learning more about her and the phenomenal work that she does.

On Wednesday, June 16th, at 9:15 am, the Assembly Women and Children Committee will be considering A1921 (Wimberly) which seeks to establish a publicly accessible internet registry of domestic violence offenders, increase fines for certain penalties, and mandate counseling for certain offenders.
A STORY OF SUCCESS
Amy Lee, a survivor of domestic violence, entered the WomenRising, Inc. safe house on February 3, 2021, after being physically abused by her spouse. Feeling completely hopeless, Amy rose the morning after morning in hopes to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
