Project Home

Project Home, a collaborative Transitional Housing Project of WomenRising, Inc., Bayonne Community Mental Health and Lutheran Social Ministries, provides 12 months of transitional housing and intensive support services for homeless women and their children, the women being in recovery from both substance abuse and trauma. The 18 resident families have individual apartments. Bayonne Community Mental Health provides substance abuse treatment and WomenRising, Inc. provides case management, domestic violence counseling, life and parenting skills training. This is a safe and sober building, and the goal of all the programs and activities is to build community, such that will extend into life after Project Home. There are extensive opportunities for education and skill building for the women as well as enrichment activities for the children.
