Since the mid 70's, the Family Advocacy Program has been providing intensive,
in-home counseling, designed to prevent out-of-home placements (in foster care,
Group Homes or other, more drastic institutionalization) for children and families
at-risk. WomenRising, Inc.'s well-trained Counselors work in the home to teach
parenting and home management skills, and provide positive role modeling for
parents and their children. Recreational activities foster positive family relationship
building and provide healthy, constructive interests for parents who are at
high risk of losing their families, through State intervention.
